A grandmother, her son and son-in-law have been arrested and taken to court over the rape of a teenage girl in Lagos.
27-year old Uchechukwu Nwambie is said to have been encouraged by his mother, Beatrice, 64, to rape the 14-year-old girl who was in her custody.

The incident occurred in the FESTAC area of the state where the 3 suspects, who were tried before a Federal High Court, reside.
The son-in-law who resides at First Avenue, Plot 1124, opposite Sixth Avenue, FESTAC town, Lagos, was alleged to have deceitfully induced the girl from Imo State to Lagos.
They were dragged before the court by the Attorney of General of the federation on behalf of National Agency for the Prohibition of Traffic in Persons (NAPTIP).
The prosecution stated that the three accused offence, was contrary to section 19 (b) of the Trafficking in Persons. (Prohibition) Law, Enforcement and Administration Act (2003), as amended and punishable under the same section.
