The Delta Police Command has arrested a 25-year-old woman in Abraka for allegedly killing two of her children.
The Police Public Relations Officer in the state, DSP Celestina Kalu, said this on Thursday in Asaba in a statement made available to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).
She said the suspect had confessed to the police that she gave a liquid substance to the children to drink.
Man Arrested After Killing Girlfriend ‘For Rituals’ In Lagos
The police in Lagos have arrested a young man after he was accused of brutally murdering his girlfriend.
28-year-old Raphael Effiong is said to have committed the offence inside a hotel in the Ketu area of the state. Effiong is said to have cut off 26-year-old Gift Sunday’s breast and one of her fingers with a pair of scissors.
Staff of the hotel reportedly heard the deceased screaming and they rushed into the room to find her in a pool of blood. Sunday was taken to a hospital in the area but she succumbed to her injuries and died.

A suspected kidnapper who disguised as a mad man has been arrested at Alakija bus stop in Lagos after he allegedly attacked two policemen on duty with a bottle.
The drama took place inside the premises of a Redeemed Christian Church of God in Alakija area of Lagos state Nigeria yesterday.
The policemen on duty were attacked as they tried to chase an insane woman away from the premises of the aforementioned church.

A female suicide bomber this Monday morning exploded NNPC mega station in Kano, where several people were reportedly lined up to buy kerosene.
According to eyewitness account a female suicide bomber killed several people by joining the queue and detonating her explosives.
"A suicide bomber who was milling in the crowd set off explosives concealed under her dress," said Habibu Ali, a fuel vendor in the targeted Hotoro neighbourhood. "Several people, mostly woman, were killed."

The Nigeria police revealed that a lone female suicide bomber died in an attempt to bomb, Northwest University in Kano around 1pm Nigerian time.
The female believed to be a 16 years of age, was walking suspiciously towards the school gate when the policemen guarding the area spotted her, isolated her and called for reinforcement from female police officers adept at handling Muslim females.

Kano has once again being attacked by insurgents. An explosive believed to be thrown into St. Charles Catholic Church in Sabon Gari area of Kano this afternoon by boko haram sect has killed at least five and wounded many.

Lagos! Woman Gets 26 Stitches After Husband Beats Her Severely Over A Piece Of Fish
The attack happened on the 16th of July, when the third wife reported to their husband that their senior wife took a piece of fish from the soup to break her fast. The husband, according to witnesses, did not listen to her excuse before attacking her.
Revealed: Police Involvement In DaGrin's Death Uncovered by Sahara Reporters
The circumstances which led to the death of DaGrin in 2010 have now been revealed to be part of a disturbing pattern of illegal activity by police at Alakara Station in Mushin.
The eyewitnesses, who said they were first to reach the scene of the road crash to assist, insist that Oladapo Olaitan Olaonipekun also known as "Dagrin" did not drunkenly crash into a truck parked at the side of the road as put out by police.
Instead, the truck driver had been stopped in the middle of the road by Police who were demanding bribes. Unfortunately, the truck had no back lights and the late musician had plowed into it unknowingly.
They said the policemen deliberately covered-up their role in the accident, by recreating an artificial accident scene by the side of the road for the world to see the next morning.

Nigerian weightlifter Chika Amalaha has given Nigeria its first gold at the Commonwealth Games which started in Glasgow, Scotland yesterday July 24th.
Chika won the gold medal today after pulling a total of 196 points in snatch and clean and jerk in the 53kg class to beat her competitors from New Guinea & India who picked the silver & bronze medals.
