that is aiming at the rebranding of Warri City, for too long the Oil City has
been perceived as a City void of activities, both social and economic, well am
here to tell you that is having such perceptions, that you are Wrong!
Let me tell you what you don’t know
about Warri:
You may know that every Wafarian is
comedian, and comedy is about the only free thing in Warri, but what you don’t
know is this, a Wafarian can pay lots of money to see Basket Mouth, tell the
same joke that he invented.
You may know that we Wafarians are
hot headed, rough and troublesome, but what you don’t know is that “when yawa
gas, na Warri Boys go first you reach house”.
You may know that Wafarians are
addicted to Pidgin English, well you may be 100% correct, English na our
Language before? But that nor mean say we no sabi chop am, how many of una even
get A1 for
English sef?
You may also know that Wafarians are
uneducated people, well if you dey think am like that, you are strictly on your
own, infact bring Wole Soyinka come, we go school am….Lols.
You may know that Warri girls are the
finest; well I must say, you are right!, and every Warri dudes are keepers
also.
What am sure you truly know is that,
Warri is a hub of Talented People. There is no talent you cannot find in
here, if you doubt me, check our entertainment industry.
So whether you have a talent you want
to showcase, a special event that you want the World to know about, or you
simply want your voice to be heard, if you don’t find us, we’ll find you.
Because Warri will not be a memory of a place, instead it will remain a
statement that is constantly spoken.
